I’ve always loved going somewhere new, but having a kid who is happiest when we’re off on an adventure has made exploring a much bigger part of our family life. He’s the one asking where we’re going next, and more often than not, giving us a reason to say yes and go.

Wander is where we keep track of the places we find along the way: favorite corners of Western New York, small towns worth the drive, museums and old places, hikes and back roads, good meals, family day trips, and adventures farther from home when we get the chance. Some are carefully planned; plenty begin with simply getting in the car and seeing where the day takes us.

It’s part travel guide, part family scrapbook, and hopefully a little encouragement to keep looking for what’s worth discovering, especially close to home.
